Why is it good for you to pay $1 for membership on this website?

At the moment, the site is in its inception stage. We are growing and eventually, expect to field a fairly large platform given the features we plan on adding. One of the inherent dangers of online interactions is the rise of scammers, fraud and bots. Having a pay for play system drastically reduces that potential. However, people don't like paying for stuff. What would that pricepoint be that you'd feel it's no big deal? Five dollar per year? Imagine now that there's someone out there creating fake accounts. Would he/she want to pay $5/account just to be able to spam the platform? We highly doubt it.

Currently this platform is free and if we do plan on introducing a paid membership plan, it will be only to verify yourself so that the customers on this site can feel more confident that you're not some fake account.
